Originally opened in 1926 as the President Hotel, the Hilton President Kansas City, which is included on the National Register of Historic Places, just completed a multi-million-dollar renovation project that preserves and progresses its iconic history. Renovations feature completely redesigned guest rooms and public areas, and offers guests exceptional levels of luxury and attention to every detail.

Guest rooms and suites feature the Hilton Serta Serenity beds while all-new furniture pays tribute to the historic nature of the hotel. Subtle details invite the guest to appreciate the hotel history while experiencing the latest in technology and comfort.

The renovation includes all guest bathroom areas, and special attention was given to work areas, including multiple USB charging ports and marble desks. Custom guest room and public area carpets finish out the luxurious look and feel.

The newly renovated lobby is decorated in 1940s style, featuring circular sofas and a baby grand piano. It also includes a connectivity table with built-in charging stations for travelers who prefer working on their laptops in the company of others.

Other technology features include touchscreen electronic information boards, for guests to check flights and weather. The Digital Key program for HiltonHonors members enables them to select their room, check in and enter keylessly via a mobile phone and app.

This makeover follows the $1 million renovation project completed two years ago, which updated the two restaurants in the hotel: The Walnut Room and Providence New American Kitchen. The iconic Drum Room Lounge completes the trio of food and beverage offerings.
